Police probe fatal car crash
The driver of a Mercedes-Benz car that was hit by a police motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, later died in hospital.
The crash happened around 7am (AEDT) on Friday at a suburban Melbourne intersection, a police spokesman told Fairfax Media.
The vehicle collided with a police car that was approaching from the opposite direction. The motorcyclist was struck by a police car’s side mirror, but managed to escape unhurt.

The car was taken to the local trauma cen바카라tre, where his injuries were said to be serious.
The driver’s identity is not known.
The officer involved was not injured and has been identified as Police Inspector Paul Jones.
A total of four police cars were involved in the collision, 카지노 사이트but three were returned to normal traffic, and all of the cars were cleared and inspected by a second police officer, the spokesman said.
The collision happened in the area of East Hill Street and Kingsland Road.
A statement on the department’s website said the force would provide grief counselling to officers and families impacted by the accident.
